ICAR-CIRCOT- Key Highlights of Launch of PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Pulses Aatmnirbhar Mission and other Schemes

ICAR-CIRCOT organized this program at following three places:

• Village Wadgaon, district Amarvati, MH
• Village Mohopa, district Nagpur, MH
• ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai, MH

Shri Pratap Arunbhau Adsad, Hon’ble MLA, Amaravati, Maharashtra state graced the occasion at villate Wadgoan, Amravati. He addressed the farmers and urged them to adopt Natural Farming System for saving the environment and increasing the farm productivity. About 225 farmers participated in this programme. The programme was also addressed by the scientists and technical officers of CIRCOT, Nagpur, they briefed the farmers about various schemes of the Govt. of India for benefits of the farmers. 

In another programme, about 206 farmers participated at Village Mohopa, district Nagpur. At this place also, the farmers were provided vegetable seed packets and pheromone traps for controlling pink boll worms in the cotton field. Scientists and technical officers of CIRCOT, Nagpur delivered lectures on production of quality cotton and avoiding the mixing of contaminants into the raw cotton. Moreover, the farmers were informed in detail about the schemes launched by Hon’ble PM. Farmers were extremely delighted after listening the talk of the Hon’ble PM and HMoAFW.

Another programme was held at ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai where 137 staff including scientists, technical and administrative personnel attended this programme. Moreover, 26 ICAR-CIRCOT agri-startups of ICAR-CIRCOT from the Maharashtra State joined this programme through PM webcast. 

Overall, 601 participants including 427 farmers (361 males and 66 females) attended the programme from ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai.
