ICAR-CIRCOT Organises Plantation Drive on 12th August, 2026

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan led a nationwide plantation drive on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, to celebrate the festival of Hariyali Amavasya. The campaign aims to encourage people to plant a tree in the name of their mothers, creating a lasting memory that will not only help protect the environment but also contribute to building a greener and more prosperous future. On this occasion, the ICAR–Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR-CIRCOT) organised a plantation drive at its Mumbai centre. Dr. S. K. Shukla, Director, along with the staff of the Institute, participated in the plantation drive.
